Mark S. Codella

Co-Founder and President, Stephen E. Codella Memorial Foundation

Mark has practiced as a Gastroenterologist in Northeast Philadelphia for 37 years and has served in various administrative roles, including Chairman of Medicine at Nazareth Hospital from 1999 to 2026. He helped establish Rhawn Street Endoscopy Center in 2006 and still served as Medical Director of the facility until May 2026. Mark has served on several medical boards, including the Drexel University College of Medicine Alumni Board and the Nazareth Hospital Medical Executive Committee. He holds an MD from Hahnemann Medical University and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He currently practices as a Gastroenterologist at Saint Mary’s Hospital Langhorne PA. Mark is married to his wife Catherine, co-founder of the Foundation, for 38 years. He is most proud of raising two wonderful children, Stephen and Alexandra. Spare time is spent reading, running, biking, and ballroom dancing with Catherine. He is most happy to have Stephen’s dog, Archer, to spend down time with.
